Professor of Kyung Hee University Invents 'Overweight Controlling'

The professorate of Hyung-Min Kim(49) of College of Oriental Medicine, Kyung
Hee University, announced, on the 1st, the invention of a medicinal wine 'So-So-So'
which can control obesity after 5 years of research.
This medicinal wine is a complementary drink of a popular drink made out of
7 kind of drugs such as cassiae semen, green tea, artemisiae capillaris herba,
garlic, cortex eucommiae, crataegii fructus, and pine needles etc. in the Gyong-Sang
region. It was also developed into a clear strained rice wine (alcohol 15%)
from the traditional sweet rice drink and removed its thick and bitter taste
by changing the percentage of material content.
Professor Kim's professorate explained that fat was reduced by 59.3% on the
white mouse fed with medicinal wine compared to the mouse fed with foods high
in fat, after dosing the mouse that was fed 1ml of medicinal everyday for 33
days. As a result, the medicinal wine proved to control corpulence.
" 'So-So-So' is expected to control overweight and prevent ischemic heart
diseases or coronary artery diseases(CAD) by stimulating metabolism of carbohydrate
and fat when drunk 1-2 glasses during meals or before going to bed." explained
the professorate of professor Kim.
Professor Kim's professorate recently made an application for the patent of
fat content reducing effects of the medicinal wine and also submitted their
